Who are we?

This small business began with the intent to promote a mindset of sustainability. Our foundation is built upon the ‘wear it for life’ concept, adopted by our 3 owners as a means to pay conscious attention to the waste we create daily, intentionally or unintentionally.

In our company’s future we foresee printing our designs on fully sustainable fabrics and taking full advantage of upcycling wherever possible. However, at the moment we’re still small and aren’t fully able embrace the manufacturing sustainability that we see on the road ahead. Our solution to this is to focus on promoting the practice of sustainable use and reuse, while we work towards our ultimate goal.

Grant

Our team is made up of 3 dedicated owners working towards our ‘wear it for life’ goal. Grant is Canadian born and has been living in Germany with his wife for 3 years now. Grant spent his early twenties travelling and volunteering worldwide, and has come back to Europe with the belief that changing styles and constant new trends have an unnecessarily detrimental impact on the waste we create. Inspired by the second-hand stores of Canada, Grant is compelled to import the ideology that has been a hallmark of his minimalist journey.

“It’s ridiculous, you’ve got all these people convinced that new and changing clothing is somehow essential to their life experience. It’s a mindset that can change, we’re going to try to encourage the idea that how you feel in your clothes isn’t reliant on how ‘up to date’ they are. Owning a Heavy shirt can be a commitment-to-self that you’re going to get the most possible use from this thing that you’ve bought, and then go the extra step to upcycle or repurpose"

Kai

Kai grew up in the beautiful Black Forest in Germany. Enjoys spending time with friends, going to the Gym and ever since he was young has enjoyed skiing and playing tabletennis.

I am not good in coming up with my own quotes but this quote from Jay Inslee really appropriately describes what I feel at the moment: “We are the first generation to feel the sting of climate change, and we are the last generation that can do something about it.”

Marcel

My journey into the world of sustainability began with my grandpa, who instilled in me the timeless value of making meaningful choices and cherishing every resource. Inspired by my grandpa's wisdom, I have embraced a lifestyle that revolves around using items to their full potential, repairing rather than discarding, and making conscious decisions.

Passionate about soccer and driven by my love for sports, I have always been fascinated by the power of unity and teamwork on and off the field. Through my athletic pursuits, I discovered the significance of preserving resources for future generations. This realization fueled my determination to make a positive impact on the world through conscious practices.

I firmly believe that every small action can lead to significant changes, in any part of life. My commitment to try to repair things instead of throwing them away and approaching actions wisely aligns perfectly with our mission as a brand committed to environmental responsibility and sustainability. I've discovered that conscious practices off the field can create a lasting impact just as powerful as any game winning goal.
